Since leaving the world of the employed so many months ago, Elgin had been repeatedly struck by how many people didn't work during the day. In his previous life, he had assumed that just about everybody lived the way he did: they got up, they went to work, they came home. At first he had been mildly offended by the realization that so many people did not live that way, practically muttering, "What are all of you people doing out on the street, in restaurants, at movies, in stores? Go to work." Now, he cheered them on. Don't go to work, fuck work, good for you.
